This is one of our most popular apps with schools. After learning how to count up to 100, children sometimes struggle with the concept of the sequence of numbers out of order.
In her classroom, Manel Wickremasinghe would make-up sheets with rows of numbers on them for children to write down the appropriate number that would come either before, after or in between the number(s) on the sheets. Those hand-made activities became the basis for this app.
The app is setup in a simple manner for children to navigate and it is self-correcting so they cannot place the numbers incorrectly. the child can fill out the sheets in any order they choose. The app keeps track of their progress, discretely presenting the number of correct & incorrect actions for parents/teachers to evaluate progress.
Thanks for your support of our Montessori apps!
Complement the app with this printable activity:
After learning how to count up to 100, children sometimes struggle with the concept of the sequencing of numbers out of order. What comes before 75? What comes after 42? What goes in between 31 and 33?
In her classroom, Manel Wickremasinghe would make up sheets with rows of numbers on them for children to write down the appropriate number that would come either before, after or in between the numbers on the sheets. This download recreates those sheets for you to print out and use with your children/students.
You can choose to physically write the answers in the boxes, or cut out the provided number tiles and place them onto the sheets. The number tiles can be helpful if you provide only the answers required for the sheet or column to help narrow down the choices.
After working with this activity a few times your child will have a much better grasp on the sequencing of numbers.
After checkout, just download, print and cut!
